AR ONE Heat Molding Instructions

Since the AR ONE is a completely new design, we wanted to give you a quick rundown on its key features and a few tips to ensure the perfect fit.

We're confident you'll appreciate the design and features of your new boots, and we're here to help with any questions you may have.

Memory Fit:

  • The AR ONE was designed with Atomic’s proprietary Memory Fit plastic, which allows you to customize the fit for maximum comfort and performance.
  • The process is as straight forward as Atomic, but with one important exception:    

AR ONE Tongue’s are not heat moldable

If you need to completely heat mold your AR ONE boots, please remember to remove the tongue before starting the process. As always, be certain to visit a certified Armada dealer to have heat molding done by a professional.

Natty Flex:

  • Natty Flex is AR ONE’s unique flex pattern is created by a mechanical connection between the spine of the cuff and the shell, with the thinner tongue exhibiting minor influence to the overall flex character.
  • AR ONE 110, 120, 130 allow you to fine tune the Natty Flex from Freestyle (1 Bolt, more progressive) to Freeride (2 bolts, more direct)

 

Forward Lean:

  • In addition to the Natty Flex adjustment, AR ONE 110,120 and 130 have the ability to adjust forward lean with the use of the provided shims.

 

Cuff Alignment:

  • All AR ONE boots have XXX cuff adjustment washers
  • AR ONE 90/100 can adjust cuff up to 2 degrees
  • AR ONE 110/120/130 can adjust cuff up to 4 degrees with top bolt removedIf you need to adjust to 4 degrees, do not attach second bolt until cuff alignment is complete
AR ONE MEMORY FIT HEAT MOLDING INSTRUCTIONS

Before you heat mold AR ONE please read:

1. Remove shell tongue before heating shells in oven*

 * AR ONE tongues are not heat moldable

2. Perform standard Memory Fit heat molding procedure without tongue

  • Pre-heat oven, remove liner
  • Place shells with tongues removed in oven for 5 minutes
  • After 5 minutes, remove shells from oven, insert liners, and assist customer into boots.
  • Lightly buckle each buckle and power strap 
  • Do not let customers overly flex ski boots during heat molding process
  • After 2 minutes, place cooling packs onto boots
  • After 5 minutes, remove cooling packs and assist customer out of shells10 minutes without cooling packs

3. Re-Attach tongue after Memory fit process is complete.

Allow boots to cool completely before skiing
