Team Talks: Mike Liddle
It’s a little cliche to say, but Mike Liddle is probably your favorite snowboarders, favorite snowboarder.
Born in New Zealand but now a US citizen and residing in Mammoth, Stefi Luxton is both a popular rider on and off the hill. She represented NZ in the 2014 Olympics and she has the talents to ride all over the mountain, from the park to the backcountry, she has one of the best handplants in the game, which earnt her the ‘Nicolas Cage Award’, at the Uninvited at Park City.
It was a busy year for Stefi, which also saw her film a video series titles ‘Thrice Baked’ alongside friend Katie Kennedy, in which they rode Japan, Tahoe and Nelson B.C.
Luxton was an obvious choice for the Armada Snowboards team and she consequently spent the 2025 winter season working with the brand's engineers to develop an all-around board, the Do-Si-Do. This women’s specific board is built to handle everything from fresh powder in the morning to wind-lip jumps at lunch to slushy park laps in the afternoon. That board later got a limited retail release as her signature model in a LTD colorway.
Here in this team talks, we can hear more from Stefi herself.
